Delivery times

All our deliveries are dispatched through Fastway Couriers, which covers the entire island of Ireland.

It usually takes two to three working days to process an order. Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive an email confirming your order is complete.

Once your order is dispatched it will, in most cases, be delivered the following working day. Our couriers may need to contact you by telephone for further directions and/or to complete delivery.

Common questions about delivery

I won’t be at the address I provided during the day. Can you leave my parcel somewhere else for collection?

If you’re not available to accept a delivery during the day, why not avail of choose the Parcel Connect Service. This is a new and unique service offered by our courier partners Fastway whereby you can elect to have your parcels delivered to a range of local shops, convenient for you.

How will I know when the item will be delivered?

You can track your order online via the Fastway website once items have been dispatched . The tracking number is included in the email confirmation you receive once your items have been dispatched.

Delivery charges

Delivery is free on all Fireproductsdirect.ie orders over €65.

For orders under €65 the Following P & P charges apply

€3.00 for envelopes weighing up to 0.2kg (Regular Standard Post)

€6.50 for parcels weighing between 0.2kg and 0.5 kg

€10.00 for parcels over 0.5 kg up to a maximum of 30kg.

You can review the total cost of delivery on the last page of the order process. Always check this carefully before you proceed to checkout.

Returns policy

You may change or cancel a full order, or part of an order, before items are dispatched by contacting our customer support team.

You also have a statutory right to change your mind and return any goods up to seven working days from receipt of order, provided the items:

  • are unused
  • are in their original packaging
  • have any security seals intact

You will be liable for the cost of returning any unwanted goods.

If you intend to make a return, you must notify our customer support team before doing so.

Damaged goods

In the unlikely event that the goods you received were damaged in transit you must notify our customer support teamno later than three working days from receipt of order.

A replacement or refund will be offered and we will make arrangements to have the damaged goods collected. Damaged goods must be returned in the condition in which you received them, with original packaging and all manuals and accessories.

Please contact our customer support team before returning your damaged goods.

Faulty goods

All of our products come with a 12 month warranty from date of purchase. If any product fails within that timeframe due to a manufacturing defect we will arrange for a repair or replacement.

Goods that are returned will be assessed and a repair or replacement offered within a reasonable timeframe. Repair time may vary depending on manufacturer and availability of parts. Our customer support team will keep you informed throughout the process.

Where goods are assessed to have been damaged by misuse or accident, you will be required to pay both labour and courier fees. We will provide you with an estimated cost prior to any work being carried out.

In some cases, products that are presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods.

Making a Return

All returns must be accompanied by a completed Returns Form.

Before returning goods you should contact our customer support team to obtain a returns number. This number must be noted on your return form and in any future correspondence.

We recommend using Fastway Post Plus for returns, although returns can be sent by post or through a courier of your choice. Please ensure that your goods are tracked.

Please note: Not all couriers will transport our portable fire extinguishers. If you are not using Fastway, please check with your courier in advance.

If your courier asks, Portable Fire Extinguishers UN1044 are not restricted for transport under ADR special provisions 594.

Refunds

Refunds will be made via the method of payment used to complete your online order. Refunds are normally processed within seven working days, and no longer than 30 days, of receipt by us of the returned goods.

Recycling & WEEE

Fireproductsdirect.ie is registered as a producer and distributer of products subject to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 355 of 2011); Registration Number  IE 01875W

Fireproductsdirect.ie will take back your Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and batteries on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis when the products you have purchased from us are replacing equivalent products or when the new products you have purchased reaches the end of its life. We ensure that items are disposed of/ recycled in a safe and responsible manner.

Please contact our customer support team within 30 days of delivery of your new product or when your new product reaches the end of its life and we will arrange for collection of your WEEE and batteries.

WEEE must never be placed in your waste disposal or recycling bins.
